Hello, : Hello, it sounds like your tattoo became very dried out while snow boarding. I hope you did not have your tattoo exposed to lots of sun. Fresh tattoos require TLC (tender loving care). Tattoo goo and tattoo lube are two products which can be used to provide adequate moisture. A and d ointment is also supposed to be good. Put a small amount on your finger tips & work in well. You want the skin to be just a little shiny without any gobs buidling off. Gently blot off any extra goop. Too much goop can lead to the ink taking unevenly. This can be done a few times a day over the next several days. Then you can switch to moisturizer. Select a moisturizer that doesn't contain sparkles, scents or colors. Your tattoo artist may also have some recommendations. Red, hot swollening tattoos with red streaks can be a sign of infection which needs to be treated. Take care. Good luck nursing that tattoo back to health.
