Fatty : Fatty liver can sometimes be related to medications or related to excess weight gain. Usually it is just a non-specific finding with no specific concerns. Blood tests will generally tell if your liver has normal function. Weight loss if overweight, avoiding fatty foods, controlling one's cholesterol level, avoiding excess alcohol drinking, and checking your medications with the doctor who is prescribing them is a start to liver evaluation. Sometimes checking your blood for hepatitis exposure is indicated. Rarely serious liver damage can be the result of severe fatty liver that develops into cirrhosis damage.
