Hello. : Hello. Lexapro (escitalopram) (a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) has been shown in a number of studies to be quite helpful with hotflashes. Because it is an antidepressant it could also help with the mood swings, crying and drop in self esteem. Take good care of you.
