Sometimes we have: delayed reactions to stress. (Post traumatic Stress Syndrome is an extreme example of this following war or other traumatic events) When the stressor is occurring, we are strong and keep it together only to fall apart later when the danger has subsided. This may be what is happening for you. Consider talking to a psychologist and process the stressful event or issues.
