That : That is a tough question since the "throat" refers to a lot of space from the back of the throat near your tonsils down to the base of the tongue and further down into your neck. Sometimes, people get something stuck and then the material moves, but the throat is scratched and it still gives the feeling that the object is in place. If you are having symptoms for more than one day or cannot handle swallowing your own salvia, you need to be seen by a physician. If you cannot visualize the object and you don't think it's stuck in your "food tube" or espohagus located in your neck, then the best place to be seen is by an ear, nose and throat specialist (ent). If you can see it, your own primary care physcian may be able to retrieve it, otheriwse you will have to have it removed and the best place to be would be the emergency department. Good luck.
