If : If this is a sudden change in behavior, the Prednisone may be the culprit. Share this concern with your friend and perhaps she can go to the doctor when her husband goes or at least call her husband's doctor to inform him of this. That's a high dose of Prednisone and is not usually needed with all those other drugs for gout. He should be seeing a rheumatologist.

Concerns: Your concerns are heartfelt. That is wonderful. Please speak your concerns to your friend and her husband, carefully. A PCP should engage to evaluate.
