A member asked:

How to help a bone spur on the foot i have a bone spur on the top of my foot and it hurts a lot

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It : It of course matters where the bony prominence is, but this may represent arthritis in your midfoot. It likely hurts because of the degeneration of the cartilage in the joint and the load your body puts on it with weight bearing. Various treatments, like anti-inflammatory medications, arch supports and sometimes even surgeries to fuse the degenerated joint(s) together can help a lot! sometimes the problem is a tight heelcord and stretching that may help as well. Good luck!
