It : It sounds like he had a case of food poisioning or a stomach flu. If he has not improved by now he should see a doctor. Often times when these illnesses persist the patient suffers from dehydration. In this case he may require IV fluids. In addition, antibiotics may be necessary if a bacterial cause is found.
