Left : Left sided back pain may be caused by back joint problems, pulled muscle and injured rib or vertebrae, sometimes other organ systems can cause the pain. I would recommend being checked by your primary care doctor. Physical therapy is usually the initial treatment. Patients who fail physical therapy may benefit from steroid injections, other interventional pain procedures or surgery depending on the specific problem. Good luck!
