Abdominal : Abdominal pain is a very complicated symptom. Often, the er is able to make sure it is not caused by something dangerous and in need of emergent care, but rarely are they able to diagnose the problem after that. Still, you did the right thing by taking her to the er with pain that severe. You should call her doctor for an evaluation. Her doctor will be able to take a thorough history and physical which can help direct further testing and/or treatment if needed. Good luck!

Lower : Lower abdominal pain in an adolescent female could be due to a number of things, including bacterial cystitis (bladder infection), pelvic inflammatory disease (usually due to a sexually transmitted disease), ovarian cysts, dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps), endometriosis, constipation, and appendicitis. Without more information and an examination, it's not possible to identify the cause of this young woman's pain. Hopefully, the more serious causes of pelvic pain were ruled out by the er physician. However, persistent pain of this magnitude warrants re-evaluation. I hope things have settled down since you posted this question.
