Not ibuprofen: You can take vicodin if that is prescribed to you for the pain as the Acetaminophen will not cause any issues related to the meloxicam. However, do not take Ibuprofen with our as they are both nsaids and can increase the side effects you may have, including GI upset and ulcers. If the current regimen is not helping, discuss with your physician other options like injections. Hope this helps!

Hip pain: You can only take one anti-inflammatory at a time. Use Meloxicam or ibuprofen. If you take both you run the risk of kidney damage. You can take vicodin with an anti-inflammatory. Make sure you take the vicodin as prescribed (narcotics are addictive and generally dangerous).
