Some people call each of these conditions "styes." you can use warm compresses to help for spontaneous resolution. If this does not do the trick, a trip to your eye doctor may be in order. Courses of medications or incisional surgery can help. There can also be other growths on or near the eyelid - most are benign. Your eye doctor would have the benefit of having magnification (slit lamp exam) when evaluating these lesions.
