Smoking : Smoking and coffee are just two things that stain your teeth relatively quickly. Tea and red wine are two others. Teeth will darken and stain naturally from all the foods you eat over time. Talk to your dentist about a simple whitening procedure and add a more youthful appearance for a lot less than any other cosmetic procedure.

Foods : Foods with the dark pigments usually stain teeth. Curry and blueberries are only to name a few. However the biggest variable is your own enamel. Some have enamel that is more porous than others and consequently stain more. If you stain a lot go to your dentist more often.

Tea, : Tea, red wine and other pigmented foods are certainly culprits. If you aren't sure what in your diet is causing the staining, keep a food and drink journal for several days. Bring this journal to your next dental visit and review it with your dentist or hygienist.

Just to name a few: blueberries, curries, soy sauce, beets, and red fruit juices are a few examples. Moderation is the key and moderation, and brush soon as soon as you can afterwards.
