It is good that he was honest with you and discussed this. Also be sure that you have had the hpv vaccination to prevent future infections.

No big deal: Congratulations on meeting a guy who has distinguished himself serving humankind. Everybody has met a few of the dozens of common strains of the wart virus. You and your physician can manage it. You will be using barrier protection anyway. I wish you both the best.

Warts: Warts on hands are usually not the same as genital warts. If he only has a wart on his hand, I would not be fearful of veneral warts.

Get HPV vaccine: The wart on the hand is not of concern as other doctors have stated, however, there are more than 100 strains of HPV and some do cause disease. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
