A member asked:

Can i still have sex after undergoing treatment for uterine cancer? will having sex while being treated for uterine cancer, or after treatment, put me in any danger?

That : That is a good question. This partially depends on how you were treated. If you were treated recently with surgery, such as a hysterectomy, then ask your doctor on when you can resume sexual intercourse. Most physicians usually say 6 weeks to two months. If you had radiation or other treatment, then ask your treating physician. But most women do have sexual intercourse after uterine cancer treatment. Intercourse will not put you in any danger as long as it isn't very close to the time you had your surgery.

Agree with Dr. E: Give time for the tissue to heal from treatment. 6-8 weeks is reasonable to wait before penetrative vaginal sex. Wish you good health.
