RADIESSE® : Radiesse (dermal fillers)® volumizing filler is an injectable implant composed of synthetically produced smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (caha) microspheres (diameter of 25µm to 45µm) suspended in a sodium carboxymethylcellulose gel carrier. Radiesse (dermal fillers) volumizing filler is approximately 30% caha and 70% gel carrier by volume. I copied this straight from their web-site. As far as side-effects, Radiesse (dermal fillers) is the safest. There are no reports of any allergic reactions to radiesse (dermal fillers). This doesn't mean that you will not swell or have redness around the injection site. Ice and arnica will take care of these complications.

Hi, : Hi, Radiesse (dermal fillers) is like bone with the hardness removed... It is very safe and depending on where and how it is injected it remains in tact for variable amounts of time... Hope this helps.

Radiesse (dermal fillers) safety: Radiesse (dermal fillers) is made from calcium and is very safe in the body. Even in sensitive skin it is unlikely to cause any reaction.

Calcium : Calcium hydroxyapatite is the main ingredient found in radiesse. This is a mineral commonly found in the body...Radiesse uses this compound in microspheres (very small particles) to provide volume that can help "plump" up areas of face like nasolabial folds and cheeks. I personally never use in lips or more delicate areas around face because the product is thicker and more palpable than other fillers such as Restylane (dermal fillers) or juvederm...You should consult with a plastic surgeon about which filler will be best for you..Best of luck to you.

RADIESSE (dermal fillers) : Radiesse (dermal fillers) is an injectable implant composed of synthetically produced smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (caha) microspheres suspended in a sodium carboxymethylcellulose gel. Radiesse (dermal fillers) is approximately 30% caha and 70% gel carrier by volume. It is injected into the skin and provides an immediate one-to-one correction of the facial wrinkle. There is no skin sensitivity testing or reconstitution required. Over time, the gel is absorbed, and fibroblasts appear. The process of new collagen formation begins, stimulating the gradual growth of the patient's own collagen.

The : The 2 previous answers are right on. The main ingredient is the same compound that makes your teeth and bones so hard. It's impossible to be allergic to that part of radiesse, (dermal fillers) but it is possible, but extremely unlikely, to be allergic to the "carrier" component. Talk to your doctor about it before receiving the the injections. Check out their web-site for info.
