I : I would recommend going to the emergency room to get x-rays to make sure you did not break your neck. If you did not break your neck then you should see your primary care doctor and spine doctor. Neck base pain is sometimes caused by irritated neck nerves (occipital neuralgia) and it often responds to steroid injections. Good luck!
