Not a need: Orthodontic treatment by whatever means is an elective procedure, no matter what the cost (i am truly sympathetic about the cost). You can save up and over time accrue the funds for treatment if it is that important to you. Do not look for "cheap" treatment, with some exceptions, you get what you pay for. As to invisalign: why ride a mule, when you have a race horse in the barn?". Braces.

Need?: Orthodontics is an elective procedure. There are many ways to straighten teeth, invisalign is just one of them. If you are motivated, save your money and pursue treatment when you can afford it. If you are an adult, things will not likely change much in the interim.

Payment plan: Consider a dentist that offers a payment plan. You do not want inferior work or a person that is inexperience to do your work. My father always said. Quality is expensive but cheap cost you more.

Get metal: its cheaper, faster and more effective. Plus I would bewarethe bargain invisalign--often its not really an orthodontist (rather a general dentist) treating-- like having heart surgery done by an internist!

Service v Commodity: Orthodontic care is not a commodity, like a can of soup. Malocclusions are like snowflakes, no two are exactly alike. Know that braces are still the gold standard, are twice as effective as clear aligners in the hands of a qualified Orthodontist, and cost less. See an Orthodontic Specialist for an examination (usually free or low cost). Payment plans are available.
