Laser lipo: Smart lipo is simply the addition of a laser to the liposuction surgery. Liposuction permanently removes fat from the treated areas. As long as your weight remains stable, you should see long term results.

Up to you: The total number of fat cells in your body does not change much. Smartlipo permanently removes some of these cells, so yes, it is permanent. However, long term maintenance of your results requires adherence to a healthy diet and exercise program. The remaining cells in your body can enlarge. Patients who have had lipo and gain weight afterwards develop fat in areas outside of the usual zones.

Smartlipo: Of course not. How can anything be permanent. Do you plan to not age, eat or live after the procedure. Please educate yourself about liposuction and realistic expectations before seeking such procedure.

Yes: SmartLipo does provide permanent fat reduction. That being said, it doesn't remove all of the fat cells in an area, so it is still possible to put weight on in a treated area. Good post-op instructions should always include information about maintaining your results with diet and exercise. www.OmahaCosmeticSurgery.com
