It feels like heartburn. what can cuz the heartburn feeling and make me cough up blood? i'm 40 yr old male. the symptoms are getting worse. i am concerned. i have woke up 2 times today having a coughing spell and blood coming up. i need an answer please.

Hello. : Hello. If you are vomiting up blood it could be from your stomach or your esophagus (which might both cause pain that feels like heartburn). Additional sources of blood could be the sinuses or nose. If you vomit up dark coffee ground like material that is likely to be a gastrointestinal bleed. With the combination of abdominal pain and bringing up blood, this needs to be evaluated.
