It : It most certainly can be done, depending on how much tooth structure is there to support the crown and your biting forces. Have a dentist examine you and they will be better prepared to explain your options.

There : There are a number of different options when it come to restoring teeth, and these days with bonded porcelain the options have increased. So long as there is adequate sound material left on the tooth to either bond to, or prepare retention grooves, you should be able to have a crown or an onlay made. So the answer is yes. Yes. : Yes. It can be done. There may be complications, but generally it is not the amount of tooth that remains above the gum that determines if a tooth can be restored. We can restore teeth that are broken flat off at the gum. It is the health of the roots of the tooth, and how well they are embedded in the gum that is the most critical.
