How can i eat healthier on a budget? #nqlu. my husband and i are on fixed incomes and we spend way too much of our budget on food. how can we lower our food budget, but still eat healthy.

You : You can do what my family does. We have planted organic garden beds. Some of our plants are from seed and some are from plantlings. Some plants, like asparagus will live for 30 years. Vegetables and fruit are expensive. We also have a variety of dwarf fruit treats. Even if all you have is a patio, you can put in a square foot garden. This can save tons of money and help you eat more healthfully. Good luck.

Diet: Egg white, oatmeal, apple, frozen veg on sale, avoid beef, avoid pork, get chicken on sale and freeze it; avoid alcohol, ice cream, pizza; pasta is good; carrots and tomato on sale.
