Hello. : Hello. I don't know if you have received formal allergy testing or if you just know that you are allergic to cats and nuts by past experience. There can be a number of reasons for itching (pruritus). Here are some common causes: psoriasis, allergic reactions to chemicals, dermatitis, internal illnesses, hives, scabies & lice. However, since you did not mention a rash or raised lesions, that makes me wonder about dry skin. Hot or cold can dry out your skin. Many soaps (i.e., like irish spring) can also be very drying. You may wish to consider a moisturized soap like caress or use body lotion. If you haven't had formal allergy testing recommend that. If you have specific allergies that are identified, desensitzation can be quite helpful.

There : There are many cauies of itching-these can include both allergic and nonallergic. Sometimes it may be sign of another disease process. That has itching as a prominent symptom. It woud be best to see a dermatologist or allergist who could best define the cause.
