In : In a situation like this the child should be evaluated by his/her pediatrician. Strep throat needs to be ruled out. To answer your question, allergies do not cause fever. More common causes of fever in children with the above symptoms are URI (upper respiratory infections, otitis media aka ear infections, and like i said strep throat. If her symptoms have resolved or are resolving she does not need to follow up. Best of luck.

While : While a degree or two of fever can be seen in individuals with allergies (hence the common name "hay fever"), the symptoms you've described are more typical of a viral upper respiratory infection (i.e., a cold). Most such infections clear spontaneously within a week or so.
