Hello. : Hello. I haven't seen the commercials that you are referring to. None of my patients have developed rashes on cymbalta (duloxetine). It is described that allergic reactions to Cymbalta (duloxetine) can present with both rash and hives. The hives can be all over the body, itch a great deal and sometimes may be more prominent in areas that are impacted by the sun. The following skin changes have been reported when a person is coming off of cymbalta (duloxetine): ecchymosis –purple discoloration of skin from a broken blood vessel. Erythema –skin redness due to swelling of small blood vessels. Erythematous rash – skin redness with possible itching, burning, tingling, pain and skin eruptions. Exfoliative dermatitis – reddened skin with scaling and shedding of skin cells. Hyperkeratosis – increased skin thickness pruritic rash – extremely itchy, red, swollen bumps on the skin. I hope that this is helpful. Maybe a doctor will answer who has actually seen a Cymbalta (duloxetine) rash. Take care.
