I : I typically instruct my patients who have had breast reduction to avoid heavy lifting greater than 15 lbs for a period of 4-6 weeks after surgery. I think this helps protect your healing wounds during the early stages of healing, when you are experiencing post-operative swelling and the strain on the incisions is the greatest. I also instruct you to avoid strenuous, aerobic activity for around 4 weeks in order to help reduce swelling and bruising. All the best, dr. Skourtis.

The : The breast is not connected so to speak to your muscles of lifting, so if you are not going to bang your breasts during the process of lifting, i would say you can lift after 5 days from your surgery. Good luck from nyc. For more info visit www.Drgrossman.Com.
