Common: There may be as many as one million americans with cfs. People of all ages can get cfs, however it is most common in people ages 40-50. Women are four times as likely to develop cfs as men. Cfs is less common in children and adolescents than adults.

CFS: This can occur in any person but seems to be associated as a symptom of a larger disease. People at greater risk are people in their 40-50's, women are affected more frequently, and an unhealthy lifestyle increases risk.
