As : As dr miller advised, get him checked out immediately. If it is determined afterward that there is no underlying medical emergency or life threatening problem, get him to a dentist for evaluation.

You : You don't tell us too much, but if this is an adult, particularly an older adult, this could be an atypical manifestation of a heart attack...So yes, it is an emergency. Have him checked out asap.
