If : If a patient has pain with urination, it can be caused by irritation from the urethra. If burning is persistent, or if the patient had fever, having to urinate more, discharge, or vomiting, then they should contact their physician as they may have a urinary infection. If there is swelling such as "bumps", then it would also be reasonable to have an examination by their physician.
