There : There are many possible causes for these white spots, but most likely these represent the openings of minor salivary glands found throughout the lips. At one year of age, your granddaughter should have multiple teeth present. This is the prefect time for her first visit to a pediatric dentist for an evaluation. It is never too early to start the acclimation process for children so that they establish good oral health habits. The pediatric dentist can evaluate the white spots at that time.
