There : There are no safe cough or cold medications available for children under 2 years of age. A few years ago, cough and cold medicines were removed from the store shelves after they were found to not only not work, but could be dangerous, too. All you can do is run a humidifier while she sleeps and use saline and a bulb suction to remove mucus from the nose if she is congested. If she is having trouble breathing or eating, develops a fever or vomiting, or if you feel she is getting sicker, call her doctor and heave her seen. Good luck!
