It Depends: Most medications are ok with breastfeeding, but there are some ones that should be avoided while breastfeeding. With thousands of medications on the market, it matters greatly what is your medical problem and what the particular medication is. A book by dr. Tom hale, medications and mother's milk give good practical advice. Don't let your doctor let the pdr or package insert guide his suggestions.
