Influenza: A flu shot to help prevent flu is always a good choice. If you have the flu you can continue to breast feed but you may want to wear a mask and be careful to wash any areas that germs may have been exposed to. If your baby gets sick have her checked immediately. All the best and feel better.

Tamiflu (oseltamivir): Tamiflu (oseltamivir) has both a preventative and treatment benefit for those who are exposed or infected. It can be taken while breast feeding.Minimal med is transferred through your milk. Although tamiflu (oseltamivir) is approved in the US down to a few weeks of age the frequency of side effects limits its use in that age group.
