No, : No, if a 5-year-old is started on a new medication and then has vomiting all day, the doctor who prescribed the medicine should be contacted. The child may need to be seen. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) would not be appropriate in that situation.

Stop the Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine): Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) can cause nausea. You can try taking it with food to help or alternatively just stop it and contact his prescribing physician. Your son may need a different dose or type of medication.
