There : There are so many possible causes that it is impossible to know without a thorough evaluation. I t could be something serious and he should see a doctor for evaluation.

Pain : Pain when he eats in the front of the stomach could be hundreds of issues... Many of which are serious like stomach ulcers, pancreatitis etc... You might want to have him see a doctor...
