Usually : Usually when i see patients with high liver function tests (ast & alt) it is due to a fatty liver, hepatitis, or side effect of a medication. The abdominal pain you are having is a little worrisome, this will likely need investigation with an abdominal ultrasound. I doubt liver diease is the case here, but a complete work up needs to be done in order to determine a cause. Best of luck.

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your enzymes are only mildly elevated and could be due to alcohol use, medication, fatty change and a transient infection etc.
