Warts : Warts are caused by hpv (human papilloma virus) and can be spread to other people or to other areas of the body. Warts on the hand are a "different subtype" of hpv compared to genital warts. Typically they don't spread from your hands to other areas of your body but it can happen. For example, occasionally, i will have a patient have warts on their hand and one develops on their neck or lip, but this is not common. Treatment options are discussed at the link below.
