Pain : Pain in the lower left pelvis abdomen can be caused by a variety of issues. It is important to determine if the patient's pain is coming from the abdominal/pelvic area or actually from the hip. Abdominal pain is often associated with other symptoms, such as pain with bowel movements, fever, vomiting, or change in urine/stools. Hip pain is often worse with position, but is usually worse with walking as well. Osteoarthritis is the most common cause of hip pain, and almost always causes pain with walking. There are other causes of hip pain however such as bursitis, which is an inflammation of a fluid-filled sac that overlies the hip joint.

See a doctor: If your pain has persisted longer than a week or two and not responded to ice and nsaids, check with your doctor to see if additional diagnostics are appropriate.
