I : I was able to find one xolair study that reported that out of 6000+ people on xolair, no one reported abnormal uterine bleeding, so that is an unlikely cause. Abnormal periods (dysfunctional uterine bleeding) are not uncommon among adolescents. Below i listed many of the most common reasons, but many of them pertain to sexual activity, so those reasons are a few less you have to worry about! i'm glad you made an appointment with a gynecologist. Since she is pre-menopausal, there are many causes for vaginal bleeding not related to her period such as: - anovulation - iud or Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) use (not an issue for her) - stopping or starting birth control pills containing estrogen (not an issue for her) - stress - hormone problems such as with the thyroid - injury/trauma of the vagina from intercourse or a sexually transmitted disease (not an issue for her) - uterine fibroids or polyps - cervical injury, infection or rarely, cancer (unlikely since she is not sexually active) - pregnancy (implantation bleeding) (not an issue for her).

Unlikely Xolair: Xolair is a monoclonal antibody treatment for asthma and chronic hives. It has a low risk of severe allergic reactions so good to have an EpiPen available but should not trigger bleeding.
