HPV : Hpv is transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, such as from where there is a tiny microscopic sized tear in the skin, or from intercourse. Rarely hpv can be transmitted from a mother to the baby at birth.

HPV : Hpv is a virus leading to genital warts. Sexual intercourse is the source of exposure to the virus (usually). Hpv comes in many forms but a few of them are primarily responsible for most cases of cervical cancer in women and for genital warts. Here is a bundle of web links to educate you about hpv and also to the vaccine Gardasil to prevent infection (http://bitly.Com/yy4qaq). We have a relatively new vaccine to prevent infection if you have never been exposed. Gardasil is a vaccine for both male sand females ages 9-26. It works if given before exposure to the hpv virus. It immunizes against 4 types of hpv virus which are responsible for about 75% of cervical cancer and 90% of genital warts. You should talk with your doctor to see if the Gardasil would be appropriate for you. The vaccine is certainly more effective and you do not have to raise a child unless you were going to have a family anyway. Most importantly, the vaccine, abstinence or condoms are the ways to reduce risk of infection. Best wishes.
