A member asked:

What to do if you have a negative reaction to fosamax (alendronate) 53 male , i am having pain and swelling in my arms and hands

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Please : Please let your doctor know right away. If you have continued swelling, redness, any shortness of breath, rash, or mouth/tongue swelling then you would have to go to the er. There are other medications in a different family that you will be able to take once this reaction has passed.
