Tramadol : Tramadol is a pregnancy category c drug. This means that animal studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus, but adequate studies have not been conducted in humans. The bottom line is that benefits from use in pregnant women may be accecptable despite potentials risks. This is a decision you will have to make. Many women opt to take category c drugs after the first trimester (after 12 weeks). Lastly for your information tylenol (acetaminophen) is a class b and is considered safe in pregnancy. All the best.
