I've had on and off pain in my ear for quite some time .i went to my general dr. and he said its just allergies. possibe its more when i lay on one side i feel like i feel or more like here a pulsing in my ear. should i chalk it up to allergies..or go to

Its : Its always worth visiting an ent. It could be just allergies...But it could be other things like a prolapsed blood vessel.

I : I would also recommend that you see an ENT provider. I would expect that you would have additional allergic symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing and possibly itchy/watery eyes if the ear symptoms were primarily allergic. If everything is normal at the ENT visit then it would be a good idea to have allergy testing so then you know if you have allergies.
