After : After a patient receives Botox injections, the only precautions that i recommend are avoiding strenuous workouts for about 4 hours and avoiding massaging the sites of injection. These precautions help minimize swelling and dispersion of the injected botox.

I : I do not place any restrictions on my patients post Botox injections. I do warn patienst that there is always a risk for possible bruising anytime a needle touches the skin. So you could have a very small bruise that may require covering up until it fades. The Botox generally begins working within two days, but maximal effect comes after a week or so... I therefore follow up with my patients in 2 weeks to check the effect and appearance of treatment.
