What should i know in order to choose a good surgeon for my gerd procedure?

High Volume,Low Comp: If i were having this operation, i would select a surgeon who does this operation frequently (10-20/yr). I would ask my surgeon how often he/she needs to convert the operation from a laparoscopic to an open procedure. Last but not least, i would want to know if my surgeon ever had any complications from this operation that required reoperation or led to a patient's death.
