This : This is possible. Hypothetically if there was bacteria in the blood this bacteria could have passed from your partner to your penis and into your urethra. The bacteria could have thus multiplied and caused infection. Honestly i don't know how common this is but it is possible. Remember there are much more common ways to get a uti, i.e. Handling your penis with hands that were not cleaned after having contact with feces. This could easily occur if one had a bowel movement, wiped, and then urinated without washing their hands, also if you have had a history of recurrent UTI due to an abnormal urinary tract, these are much more likely mechanisms of transmission. You will never know how you or the person in question contracted a uti. Hopefully you have seen your doctor and are under care. Best of luck.
