Different : Different possibilities for right lower abdominal pain include appendicitis, diverticulitis (little loops on the bowel that get infected), other intestinal causes, urinary tract infection, and in women tubal pregnancy and ovarian cysts. I don't know what tests you had. There is no perfect test for appendicitis or some other types of intestinal problems, and this is a frequently missed diagnosis. If you have continued pain, fever, any vomiting, or new complaints then please return to the er for evaluation.

Possible diagnosis: There are several possible causes to right lower abdominal pain. Appendicitis and other bowel problems can make you very sick, very fast so they get looked into first. Fever, vomiting and worsening pain needs more urgent evaluation. Otherwise, an outpatient visit with your doc to look for hernias, kidney stones, cysts is okay. Good luck.
