No: There is no evidenced base proven benefit for the use of photodynamic therapy to treat copd.

No: It is a less invasive alternative to lung surgery for cancer. However, there are no good studies showing it is superior to regular lung resection for cancer. Lung volume reduction surgery for COPD is completely different and cannot be done by photodynamic means.
