Tell me about lvrs lung surgery for copd?

LVRS: Lung volume reduction surgery is the removal of the least compliant and least functioning part of the lung surgically to allow the more normal lung that was compressed to expand. This would have the same theory as that of bullectomy in bullous emphysema.
