STS, PHC4 reports: In pennsylvania, there are 2 public reports available for cardiac surgery programs. The phc4 (www.Phc4.Org) is a report that all cardiac surgeons in pa must participate in. The society of thoracic surgeons maintains a voluntary, national database of cardiac surgery results. The sts recently partnered with consumer union (www.Consumerreports.Org/health) to make these ratings publicly available.
